  • Is This PROCEDURE RECOMMENDED FOR WOMEN OVER 70?
    • Dermapen is not contraindicated for women over 70.
  • Can the Dermapen help tighten and lift the jaw-line and under chin area like a Fractional Radio frequency based micro needle machine does?
    • This is not currently an approved indication for use by the FDA.

  • Is it safe to use Dermapen treatments on woman in their early stage of pregnancy
    • Although the application of Dermapen without topicals (i.e., dry needling) is safe, Dermapen is not typically recommended for pregnant patients.
  • What topical anesthetic cream do you recommend ?
    • Your Dermapen practitioner will recommend a topical anesthetic cream appropriate for your situation. Dermapen training includes instructions on the choice of anesthetics.
  • Hi, can I use the Dermapen on the cheeks without the Hyaluronic serum? And for the length, can i use it with 1,5mm on the cheeks?
    • Dermapen is recommended to be used with HA-BOOST hyaluronic acid. This causes the Dermapen to glide over the skin without undue pressure.
  • I am a medical Doctor, specializing in cosmetic medicine. Is this pen safe to use in conjunction with Botox and Juvederm / collagen fillers? I am considering incorporating this tool into my practice
    • The Dermapen is safe to use 48 hours after a Botox treatment. Treatment before this period of time may effect the distribution of the botox beyond the injection site. Avoid Dermapen treatment for two weeks after filers to avoid an inflammatory reaction.

    • The guidelines given in the Dermapen Training and Certification Manual recommend 0.25-0.5 mm depth for compromised or thin skin. I have not used the Dermapen on frostbitten skin. Please give us feedback on your results!
  • I m having pores on my full face,,,so let me know is dermapen pen is helpful for me?
    • If your enlarged pores are acne scars, Dermapen is indicated for this condition. Dermapen is highly efficacious for acne scars!
  • How long after the treatment do i have to wait to wear makeup?
    • After 2-3 days patients can return to regular skin care products. Vitamin A products are optimal and suggested.
  • Can Dermapen be used after a patient has had cosmetic facial surgery? How long after surgery is it safe to use Dermapen. Can Dermapen be used safely on a patient with Bell’s Palsy?Are there contraindications to using Dermapen such as patients who form keloids?
    • Dermapen should be used only after the cosmetic procedure has completely healed. Dermapen is not contraindicated for Bell’s Palsy. Keloids are not an absolute contraindication. It is recommended to avoid treating a patient with keloid formations on the palms and soles (signs of severe keloid formation). As keloids may be part of a scar that is being revised, use caution and clinical judgement.
